According to the famed iOS hacker, iH8sn0w, all Apple devices are going to be jailbroken for life; these include the A5 (X), A6 and A7 devices! Check out the interesting details below.
iH8sn0w, the creator of Snowbreeze jailbreaking tool and Cydia tweaks, tweeted something very interesting today. In fact this could be one of the most interesting things to come out this year regarding the iOS jailbreak.
The hacker mentioned that all his A5(X) devices are fully untethered and jailbroken for life.
He tweeted the following:
As you can read from the tweets, he has managed to find out a way to untether jailbreak A5(X) devices and that too for life. Although he does mention that it is not a bootrom exploit.
For those of you who are uninitiated with jailbreaking, bootrom exploits are the most sought-after exploits. “Normal” jailbreaks can be patched via a software update from Apple, but not bootrom ones. If a bootrom exploit is found, it means that the specific device will be jailbroken for life.
Although the bootrom exploit has not been found, but according to the hacker, a very powerful iBoot exploit has been found. Which in layman’s term is “a very rare exploit used for jailbreaking”.
Although the hacker has not tested out the exploit on A6 and A7 devices; which include the latest ones; he is confident that the powerful iBoot exploit will work on A6 and A7 devices too.
If it indeed works then almost every Apple iOS device will be jailbroken for life.
This new powerful iBoot exploit which has been discovered would act as a foundation to future jailbreaks, giving the ability to release faster and easier jailbreaks for hackers.
iH8snow mentioned that he currently has no plans to release the exploit and is keeping it for private use. So do not get too excited for this new jailbreak exploit.
But the great thing we now have is that a new and powerful exploit exists that can jailbreak all iPhones, iPads and iPod touchs.
